The 2010 CalSouth State Cup began this weekend and our young Barça teams had an impressive record.
Advancing to the Round of 32 are:
President's Cup
B-U12 (Coach JR)
G-U13 (Coach Joey)
Governor's Cup
B-U13 (Coach Martin)
G-U12 (Coach Pat)
Congratulations to all players and coaches!

Dear Barca Members,
Another year has flown by with barely time to reflect on the great memories of this past league season, let alone prepare for another year.
As we all take some well deserved time off to spend it with family and friends, on behalf of Barcelona California we wish you all a joyous Festive Season and a Prosperous 2010.
The year 2010 will be a special year for soccer/football lovers, as this is the first time the World Cup will be staged in Africa, with South Africa being the nation to host this most prestgious competition. This will be a revealing year for South Africa as the World will soon realize that the beautiful game is being played in a beautiful country!

Barcelona California's GU15 team are champions of the bronze alpha division of Coast Soccer League after an undefeated league season. Their impressive record of 13 wins, one tie, and no losses also included scoring 33 goals with only 3 goals against. Their performance also wins them promotion to the silver division for the new season.

Congratulations to Joey Kirk and the BU15 players! They made us wait until the very end of the season but they did it with an excellent 3-0 win!
Barca BU15 had to beat their opponent on the day. Any other result would have given the opponent 2nd place instead of Barca.

With 3 games to go Barca's GU15 team are champions of CSL Bronze Alpha! The victory on Saturday Guaranteed that the team would be promoted to Silver next season. This was followed by another victory on Sunday that meant no other club could catch them for first place!
